ABOUT DARIA ZINOVATNAYA

PRACTICE AND STYLE
It is remarkable how Daria takes inspiration from the Bauhaus movement, the world’s first design school founded by German architect Walter Gropius. The Bauhaus was probably the most influential architectural movement in the 20th century, and Daria’s work is its comprehensive study.
She knows the harmony between shapes and colors like the combination of pure geometry with a unique execution that defines her work. Daria’s starting point is to explore and understand the entire space rather than focusing on details. After doing so, she moves further to the palette choice – a process for which she takes her time to experiment. At last, she will start playing with forms and objects to find the chased harmony and balance.
Her style has a hint of big names such as Le Corbusier, Matisse, and Charlotte Perriand, though each piece of her work stands out for its modern design.
Daria Zinovatnaya is an international designer who already worked on both commercial and residential projects. For instance, in 2017 she won the Red Dot Award, a renowned international design competition. As for today, she is featured in some of the most influential design magazines across the world, as AD, Casa Vogue Ell Decor, and Grazia, to mention a few.
