COMIC-LIKE ILLUSTRATIONS OF JAROSLAW DANILENKO

Since last year, Polish illustrator and animator Jaroslaw Danilenko decided to under take a challenge of posting one drawing everyday together with his fellow illustrator Michal Loba.

Danilenko’s drawings are a comic like shot of the everyday life of an everyman, a mixture of bizarre expressions with a hint of Memphis undertones, as for the patterned textures of the backgrounds and frames.

Mostly his characters are represented while staring the viewer in the middle of something, mainly silly gestures in which we are asked to imagine the next steps of intentions.

The used colors are bright and flat, and the shapes are geometric and well-defined, to give the feeling of a comic book together with a more graphic and bold layout.
